[cc-devel] Questions about getting the license_url

Hi Yanzer,
If you don't want to use the popup shown for web integration, take a
look at our web services. We just launched a new version that
supports localization. You can find information at http://
api.creativecommons.org. Basically you'll make a request and get
back a chunk of XML that describes the questions you need to ask to
generate a license. Each question has an "id", so once you have the
answers, you POST back an XML block, and the service sends you the
results. The results have the HTML, RDF, license name and license
URI embedded.
The only thing the services don't currently support that the license
engine does is the optional work information. If this is important,
you can fake it -- those use standard DC elements, so you can insert
the Work block into the returned license RDF.
We really encourage partners to use this service because it allows us
to centrally update available licenses, and your site/code "just works".
Let me know if you have any questions about using the services in
your site.
