That's true but an important detail is that in the US and the UK if you
are an individual then merely hiring someone's services doesn't transfer
the copyright to you, it goes to the photographer's employer (including
if they are self-employed). You need to explicitly state that you as the
client will hold the copyright on the photographs.
I mention this for when people come to book a wedding photographer. ;-)
