[cc-community] Google & Yahoo's CC searches - very flaky

Searching Yahoo and Google for open licensed work both give a lot of false
positives.
Yahoo finds references to CC-licensed images used in a blog post, and gives
that page as a CC-licensed page. E.g. see the result from
blog.engineersimplicity.com at
http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0oGk0HTx8RKUkkA9JJXNyoA?p=art+engineering+simplicity&fr2=sb-top&cc=1&ccs=c&ccs=e
Google gives a lot of false positives - my main problem is that it fails to
restrict to work which can be used modified and used commercially, even
though I select these options. E.g. The openlearn.open.ac.uk result, a page
with an NC license, in
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&num=50&q=product+design+open+university&as_rights=(cc_publicdomain|cc_attribute|cc_sharealike).-(cc_noncommercial|cc_nonderived)&aq=f&oq=&aqi=
This has been a problem with Google for months or years - as long as I've
been trying it.
Are they aware of the problem, and is anyone nudging them to fix it?
Thanks.
