I'm not sure about hundreds simultaneously, but NIN Ghosts still gets
a fair amount of seeders/leechers, and (as most here likely know) it
is under CC.
Looking for the Ghosts Album on some trackers may give you something
to work with. Here's a few I quickly grabbed, you may find more
active ones.

Also BBC launched a show called R&D TV under CC license last month...
Though they didn't distribute their own bittorrent file, perhaps you
could find a legal torrent of it available with sizable user figures.
