[cc-community] to build the commons

Hi Andrew,

I am much more using the word commons "as in Creative Commons".
Thinking about the name literally: it suggests a common (central?)
body of creative works that people can contribute to, and call upon
for their own uses.
In practice: the sum of the silos of works that authors and creators
license under Creative Commons licenses.

Yes you can think about "the commons" in a larger sense, of which CC
is only a part. And yes a domain name will not do anything by itself.
:) And for the record I don't want to coordinate anyone.

Gosh. How can I possibly respond to that? Is your point that I am
mis-appropriating the term "the commons"?

cheers
