We have also been really interested in hosting a creative commons salon(s)
in the San Diego region. Information and lessons learned would be very
helpful.
We have a free video & podcasting studio available to individual artists and
nonprofits in the region, and offer pro bono legal assistance in California,
particularly focused on encouraging the use of creative commons licenses, as
well as fair use and other copyright related issues artists confront(we will
help respond to cease and desists, 512 takedown letters, etc).
If anyone is interested in the San Diego region, or has suggestions, just
shoot me an email art at newmediarights.org and let's get something together.
thanks,
art
