the only other way to do it with films that I can think of would be to
insert attrib. like Revver does with the ads, at the same time some
pre-existing work is shown.
But that would have a strong impact on the medium just like subtitles
have, and it would become extremely tricky whenever there's no verbatim
part of some other footage shown but rather some work within the picture
(attrib-subtitles "top lefthand corner: Artwork A by B under CC-BY ..."
? probably not so good idea).
