(sorry for the cross-posting!)
Dear all,
As many of you may know, Creative Commons publishes a quarterly
ccNewsletter<http://creativecommons.org/about/newsletter>highlighting
a range of events and announcements within the CC community.
Furthermore, the newsletter has recently undergone a recent and
gorgeous "unofficial
remix" <http://philippinecommons.org/2008/02/06/cc-newsletter-5/> by CC
Philippines.
In line with these publications, the next installment of the ccNewsletter
will* focus on the news and activities from the international jurisdiction
projects*. Specifically, stories from 2007-2008 will be highlighted,
including (but not limited to!) past and upcoming launches, regional
meetings and conferences, partnerships with collecting societies, the Legal
Day, CC Salons, and the Birthday Parties.
I have composed a draft of the relevant material that I am aware of so far.
Nevertheless, although I am trying to improve my reading abilities in many
languages, there is certainly some important news items that I have not yet
located.
Since it is our hope that this newsletter issue can be a useful and
illustrative reference for you, your colleagues, and broader community, I
would like to invite you to send off-list to me <
michelle at creativecommons.org> *any additional news inks by **April 2.** *You
do not need to write anything new, but I would be very grateful for your
help in locating existing material!
If you would like contribute, I kindly ask you to note the following:
- If the source material is in a language other than English, it would
be great if you could please translate the article's title.
- Since the newsletter's PDF will be very image-heavy, we very much
welcome links to [CC-licensed] pictures.
- We are trying to strike a balance between breadth and depth. If you
would like to send links to multiple announcements, please help us
prioritize by marking the "must have" story/ies.
Thank you so very much in advance. I look forward to hearing from you and
your contribution in producing a stellar, international ccNewsletter!
All the best,
Michelle
