I heartily applaud what you are doing, but I'm afraid you're not the first:
The band Fitehouse had published the Fitehouse General Public Music
License, and released the individual instrument tracks of their song

That page is from 2003 or 2004 I think.
However, I would argue that even individual audio tracks that go into a
mix aren't really the source code - rather, sheet music is.
I think the GNU GPL defines source code as "the preferred form for
modification" of a computer program. While one can remix or sample from
audio tracks, to make really substantial changes to a song, say to
arrange it for a different instrument, you really have to work from the
sheet music.
Unfortunately, it is my observation that, while many artists license
their recordings under Creative Commons, few of them provide their
scores. That's a shame, and something I'd like to see corrected.
