I'm with you there, it seems the problem with these automate DRM schemes 
too, the software wont play stuff if it isn't verified by some copyright 
broker or something like that.

But it seems indeed from your thread of discussion that perhaps its not 
the digital mechanism but hte whole idea that's the problem, the digital 
mechanism woudl jsut automate the policing aspect and equally take away 
our options, we are by default better off now when policing is so 
difficult that hardly anyone actually does it!
