I don't think this would be a problem no matter what the answer is.

Personally, I don't see how I can put a recording of one of my songs under 
BY-SA without the song itself also being BY-SA. I could still allow a band to 
make an ARR recording of that sone which would not be available BY-SA though.

In fact, unfortunately, to my point of view, because of compulsary licensing 
laws, I cannot require someone making a recording of my BY-SA song to be 
BY-SA if they should chose a compulsary license instead...

That's how I figure things at least, I stand to be corrected by someone who 
gets this stuff better than me though.
