I suggest that you ask licensing at fsf.org regarding this.
I don't think you have to make the source available to the general
public. You only have to supply source to recipients of the
distributed software.
If you sell on the company and software you have to accompany then
perhaps this counts as distribution with only one recipient.
That recipient therefore gets the source under the GPL as they should.
This isn't a way of stripping the public of any rights to access the
source code: they had none anyway as the software was not distributed
to them.
