Yes, and we thought of that. However, our work would be based on the
conditions imposed by the original content owners (the APOD) who
specifically told us that we could not release our translations for
commercial use. They (APOD) did not impose a Share Alike condition,
however we do understand that they do not want derivative works in
commercial publications, and by releasing our work without a NC
clause, we would be allowing something they don't want us to do
ourselves.
Similar case for Share Alike. Since our work is a derivative work of a
derivative work, we must make sure the conditions given by the
original content creator are met. We don't have to impose a SA clause,
but at least a "you must follow the same rules we are following",
which in practice, it seems to be the same as a "SA" clause, unless
I'm missing something.
