Three things:

1) Using pictures of a program in use is "fair use", so it
falls outside of copyright, even if the software is restrictively
licensed (a tutorial is a kind of review/commentary use).

2) The GPL doesn't place copyleft restrictions on the *output* of
programs, even if #1 isn't a strong enough protection.

3) No one in the free software community is EVER going to sue you
for this sort of thing, even if it were theoretically possible.
