There was a proposal (early/mid 2006) to have buttons for free as in 
free software licenses a lighter shade of green, ones that don't offer 
verbatim worldwide noncommercial distribution red (but that's irrelevant 
now, as they're retired), and others yellow.

I think I've said this before, but it was decided that this would be too 
big of a branding change (though you can see it made it to the deeds). 
Perhaps it will be reconsidered in the future, but I can't guarantee 
anything.
