You are, but there's only two letters separating the obvious from the 
oblivious. :)

But as slight qualifications, I'd say that casual users should have a 
coarse but accurate understanding of what they are permitted to do upon 
looking at a CC deed, but they are not not supposed to read the legal code.

And the deed language can be amended at any time, doesn't require a new 
license version.  There was some discussion of making the deed's 
attribution statement more accurate last month (on cc-licenses), which I 
hope to revive and get implemented soonish.
