As Asheesh pointed out, the CC licenses aren't great for software.
Maybe one of the Microsoft or Sun "Community" or "Reference" licenses
(ie, http://www.microsoft.com/resources/sharedsource/licensingbasics/referencelicense.mspx)?
 They aren't open source licenses (as defined/approved by OSI), but it
doesn't sound like that's a requirement in this situation.
