It's "bob", BTW. Bombs are not terribly efficient at collecting apples,
as you tend to get applesauce instead. ;-)

Yes, collective financing of public goods is a fairly old idea by now,
though working implementations are few and not fully realized.
But, the important thing is that the concept is workable within the CC+
framework. Creating a site -- indeed many sites with many competing
systems, may the best one win -- for collective funding is not terribly
difficult. The trick is getting it linked to works that people want to
re-license. That's where CC+ can be useful.
I'm glad to hear (I hope it's true) that CC+ presents no obstacles to
this kind of model (co-existing with more conventional commercial
licensing options).
