Or the other way around. At Drupal (an open source CMS) we have a strict
policy of GPL-only-work in our contributions. Meaning: if you develop
something, you can only distribute it via the offical channels if all the
work is GPL.
In the past this has been a problem when people wanted to use/distribute CC-ed
artwork such as icons, or design elements.
Having some clear way to move CC into GPL too, would benefit a lot of sofware
developers too.
