Although this may be venturing even further off topic, I think it's
worth listing some of the other public domain Bible translations out
there.
The one I would most recommend is the World English Bible
(http://ebible.org/web/). It is an update of the ASV that uses more
modern English. It has been released by the author into the public
domain. Hard copies are available from Amazon or Booksurge.
Other Bible translations that are in the public domain in most
countries include the following:
Updated King James Version - http://b-o-b.homelinux.com/mirrors/updatedkjv/html/
- uses mainly automated search/replace to update to modern English wording
Darby Translation - John Nelson Darby (1890)
Young's Literal Translation - Robert Young (1898)
By the way, did you mean the Douay-Rheims Bible when you said DRC?
