[cc-community] CC-licensed terms and conditions / policies?

Mark,

I wrote a paper called "Drafting the Gift Domain"
which covers the basics of copyright and licenses as
it applies to open source.

There's a specific section in there that might be useful
for folks trying to decide what FLOS license to choose.
It explains the difference between Public Domain style licenses
(BSD, CC-BY, etc) versus Copyleft licenses (GPL, CC-SA, etc),
and why you might select one over the other.

You can read it here:

I wrote another paper, "Bounty Hunters", which is
more geared towards fixing Copyright law, but it
does have what I think is an interesting metaphor for
explaining how FLOS projects can work, which may
help people unfamiliar with the topic to understand
how it works.

You can read it here:

The bit to look for is talking about Galen's Trust,
which is a community set up for FLOS bounty hunting.
(You might have to read it for that to make sense.)

I converted "Bounty Hunters" to a two hour speech.
I presented it to a group. But it's still a bit rough
around the edges, so I haven't released that yet.
But it can be done.

Not sure if any of this fits within the scope of what you're
looking to do at a POD camp, but you might find some
useful bits. Both works are under FLOS licenses, so no
worries using them for camp.
