Thanks for pointing this out Brianna. Evan also brought up this point--
Wikinews is certainly citizen journalism with CC. The distinction is
that there is no personal attribution for complete documents (not just
pieces) on wikinews-- so a more accurate statement would be that GR is
the only citj platform that exclusively offers individuals a range of cc
licenses to protect their complete, original reports.
This structure also makes it simpler to compensate contributors for
their work. However, we are adding a wiki-like layer of editorial
controls soon-- these will be voluntary positions.
