As I understand the requirement of attribution, it's to the person, not 
the web site that makes the work available.  If the person requested a 
particular form of attribution which now includes a link to a broken 
website, then I guess that's that person's problem and not yours. 
(Someone please correct me quickly and forcefully if I'm wrong about 
this.)

It would sure be nice to everyone involved if you did look for a newer 
link, but I don't think you're really obligated to.

If you do find the musician in question, you might want to point them to 
Jamendo, who seem to be a bunch of nice guys and say they'll host the 
music forever, though.
