Hi:
We are a small company looking at whether we could use creative commons
license effectively, to address the target markets below or should we
build some revenue and file for a patent or seek some other IP
protection.
We have developed an user interface and its underlying software that we
would like to let our users benefit, without they taking the concept
and it's accompanied IP to their workplaces or companies.
1) We would like to provide this user interface for free to individuals
for personal use.
2) We would like to license this for free or at least-cost to companies
providing opensource software.
3) We would like to license to not-for-profit organizations for free
under particular conditions - example: based on amount of
revenue/grants that goes back to the community.
4) We would like to license to public schools and state universities for
free.
5) We would like to "on-request" provide the user interface and software
for free, if we feel it is a justified cause - example: community
providing internet service to the elderly.
6) We would like to see that employee/s from any computer or Internet
gaints, present it as their own User interface, just because we
provided them the user interface as an individual.
7 We are keen to commercialize it and so are approaching firms in the
internet space.
We eagerly look forward to your guidance.
Best regards,
-Krishnan
