that sounds interesting. if you need more information on CCs history of
dealing with this issue feel free to get in touch with me off list (also i
will be in brussel end of jan, so maybe we could meet then)

while some people do so (and there are many goood reasons to be against
the current form of copyright) CC does not put the CC licensing process
gaianst copyright. more importantly in our conversations with the
Collecting societies we have advocated the point of wiew that collecting
royalties through CSes and using CC licenses can both make sense for the
the same artists and should be seen as complimentary.
