"Zueri-Berlin" is a blog [1] by Sarah G, which is licensed under CC-
by-nc-sa [2]. She found her observations on language differences
between the two cities printed in "heute" [3], a gratis, but
commercial newspaper published by the media house Ringier [4]. In
September 2006, at the Wizards-of-OS conference [5] in Berlin, she
asked the RegisteredCommons [6] team for support. We discussed the
case with her and involved colleagues from openlaw [7]. The
publishers were astonished and answered with the swiss copyrights law
article 25 [8], that they consider a blog as a citation.
Finally, the responsible journalist could be convinced respecting the
rules of CC licensed content in future. The happy end [9] is, that in
November 2006 the line honorar (CHF 50.-) has been donated to the
Creative Commons organisation in the US [10].
