I am not a lawyer, but my guess is that if you only have permission to
use the images for educational use you could not reasonably offer them
under a BY-NC license, which does not preclude non-educational uses so
long as they are not for commercial advantage.

You could offer your original content under BY-NC (the text only, I
guess) or you could find alternative images that are licensed under BY
or BY-NC.  There are millions available via
http://flickr.com/creativecommons
