The changes from 2.0 --> 2.5 are rather minimal. the affect the  
attribution requirements as laid out in 4 b and referenced to in 4 a.  
this pdf http://creativecommons.org/drafts/by_2.5.pdf  highlights the  
changes in the text (the final version is identical with this draft  
version). the changes apply to all 6 core licenses.

as far is i know the 2.5 update has only been implemented for the  
generic (a.k.a US) licenses. the other jurisdictions have to adapt  
their translated licenses independently. this probably explains why  
you still get a 2.0 license in CA. here in NL we are in the process  
of implementing the 2.5 update but i have no idea if and when other  
jurisdictions plan to work on this.
