Thanks for the update, Peter. I have myself never wanted to portray this
as an anti-Microsoft thing. I appreciate how much Microsoft has already
done to make biblical Hebrew display well with its standard software,
much better than with any other non-specialist software which I know.
I am certainly happy that the threat is not very real, that "this
proposal has a very low likelihood of being pursued". But, if I
understand correctly, it is still on the table and is being pursued by
Microsoft - although even the other proposers who I have contacted seem
to give it at best lukewarm support. And UTC members have asked me to
gather more evidence. So I will collect together the responses I
receive, and copy them to you, Peter, until I am assured that the
proposal has been withdrawn or officially rejected.
