[Biblical-languages] Unicode proofing tools in Word/Office XP

Where do I find the setting to which you refer? Tools > Language > Set
Language > Greek > Do not check... ?
Since that dialog says "Mark selected text as:..." I didn't think it would
have any affect globally. (But I'll try it.) Or is there another setting
that I'm missing someplace?
What about the "Detect language automatically"? Should that also be checked?
And will that also affect hyphenation?

I guess it is now a check box in the Word XP language selection dialog --
"do not check spelling or grammar".

Change the language "Greek" to "No proofing". This will stop spell check on
Greek language and continue the proofing tools on English etc.

Now that the list is back up, here's a problem I've been wanting to ask
about for some time.
Has anyone else had problems using the hyphenation or proofing tools in Word
XP (running on Win XP Pro) with Unicode text outside the basic Latin ranges?
Whenever I try to hyphenate a document, Word chokes on the first word from
Greek/Greek Extended range. If one selects a block of text without those
ranges, it works fine.
Word also can't handle automatic spellchecking of documents with large
quantities of Unicode Greek text. I have a document that is presently at
about 86 pages, comprised of about 80% Unicode Greek text. Somewhere around
70 pages I got an error message that tells me that there are too many
spelling errors and that Word can no longer handle the spelling. This is
probably just an inherent limit the way Word is programmed, and not Unicode
specific, but the lack of proofing tool ability and (my) lack of koine
spelling dictionaries overrides what might otherwise have been a reasonable
limit for English text. Any workarounds or solutions here?
