The second number is the scsi ID, which can be 0-7 but 7 is used for the
controller. Iomega offers only 5 or 6, my scanners 0-7, cd burners 0 1 2
or 1 2 4 or something complicated involving three pairs of jumpers, and
hard drives can be set to 0-6 (7?) using three pairs of jumpers. I
wondered what the 0's were.

Smart Boot Manager. It will let you boot from CD-ROM if the BIOS does
not. I installed it with a DOS .exe.

Our ASUS and EPOX computers don't allow SCSI boot and don't find SCSI
drives with DOS PQMagic so I wondered if SBM could fix this. SOYO and DFI
boot from SCSI. Various versions of Award BIOS provide different features
and are probably tailored to the motherboard's capabilities. Compaq's
Award BIOS won't even let you disable USB.
