I just remembered BL3 and busybox httpd and there is also a static
mini_httpd and I looked up how to run it.
mini_httpd -d /www (or whatever directory your files are in, or
you can set a config file to specify that but not with busybox httpd and I
think it just uses the current directory)
I had it running while online with pppd (eznet).
What do I use as an IP address on the computer running httpd?
People got their IP address by going online (it is reported when you
connect with eznet and in /var/eznet somewhere). Is it 192.168.1 and if
so how would I set that? ifconfig?
127.0.0.0? (I can ping myself that way).
Do I set up to use the Redhat computer as a dumb terminal first by editing
inittab on the BL computer to remove the # before s1 and use ttyS0 as
terminal?
Redhat comes with lynx. lynx IP-number should get me either index.html or
a list of files in the directory. But I think I would still need a
terminal program - maybe Redhat comes with minicom or the SW7.1 version
might work (it is on CD, but how do I unpack a Slackware package with
Redhat?).
