There is a free ISP (free for the first 10 hours/month and I think you 
need to sign up with a credit card) that a neighbor told me about, 
something like www.accessforfree.com.  You could use that with the BL ppp 
setup and a plain hardware modem (not a winmodem).  Maybe someone else on 
the list knows how to set up linux to work via a hub.  There have been 
several discussions on networking that you can look up in the archives 
(search on ethernet or network).
