The pre-positioned combination L-MI- appears also in L-MI-QATON of
2Ki 23:2.
I am not detecting a substantial difference of meaning between L-MI-
YOM and MI-YOM, but the poetic build-up of L-MI-YOM seems to me a
kind of "up from the day", containing a whiff of a rhetoric
overstatement.
