The title of this topic is:
"Yahweh" occurs 6823 times in the Roman Catholic New Jerusalem Bible
BUT occurs "ZERO" times in the underlying Hebrew.
[i.e. "YAHWEH" OCCURS ZERO TIMES IN THE PARTICULAR BHS TEXT
THAT UNDERLIES THE ROMAN CATHOLIC NEW JERUSALEM BIBLE!]
The same is true for the Roman Catholic Jerusalem Bible.
The same is true for my NIVIHEOT [i.e. NIV Interlinear Hebrew-English Old
Testament]
The same is most likely true for "The Emphasized Bible" written by Joseph
Bryant Rotherham in about 1905 A.D. [i.e., The Emphasized Bible" is / was
the first English Bible in which "Yahweh" is found.]
Are Hebrew Scholars under any obligation to make known to the General
Public, that "Yahweh" occurs "ZERO" times in any Masoretic Text.?
OR IS IT POSSIBLE THAT SOME EDITION OF A MASORETIC TEXT IS HIDDEN AWAY
SOMEWHERE AND "YAHWEH" OCCURS "6823'" TIMES IN THIS HIDDEN AWAY
MASORETIC TEXT?
Dave Donnelly
P.S. Why does this issue appear to be ignored on B-Hebrew?
It doesn't seem possible that the writings of the Early Greek Fathers can
legitimately over rule the Hebrew Scriptures on this particular issue.
