[b-hebrew] Replying to postings

Friends,

Just a reminder: b-hebrew is configured in such a way that, if you
simply "Reply" to a posting, your answer will go back to the original
sender *only*. B-Hebrew will never see it.

If you want your reply to a b-hebrew posting to go back to the list
for general distribution, you must either "Reply All" or manually add
<b-hebrew at lists.ibiblio.org> to the addressees.

Different email software handle this situation differently, and I
advise you to watch the address headers carefully as you are composing
your messages.

[For the technically inclined: the reason for this behavior is that
the Internet "Reply-To:" header of b-hebrew postings is set to the
return address of the original sender of the posting. Some Internet
discussion lists use the discussion list address instead for the
Reply-To: header. There is a huge debate in cyberspace about what is
the "correct" behavior for this header, which is way off-topic for
b-hebrew!] :-)

Blessings,

Kirk
