Who is the second "he" in Genesis 15:6?

Tony,
Why do you consider the feminine suffix=object to be curious? In the
translation given, the suffix is what is translated as "it". Would you not
expect an agreement between that pronoun and the noun to which it refers?

And of course, why?
Genesis 15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and **he** counted it to him
for righteousness.
I'm interested too, since I looked it up and the afformative suffix looks
to be feminine. The only other feminine word in this brief sentence seems to
be the one for "righteousness"--curious.
Peace,
Tony
