Neil Elliott wrote a book, The Arrogance Of Nations, Reading Romans in the Shadow of Empire. He says that hUPAKOHN and PISTEWS are almost interchangeable in Romans, and when combined in the genitive phrase hUPAKOHN PISTEWS, PISTEWS functions as an adjective, "faithful obedience."
Are there other examples in which "interchangeable terms" are combined, resulting in the same or similar functions?
