I'm sure when he said -forget- he didn't mean that he simply wasn't aware.
Aside from that; I have read something before and then started to
repeat it to my wife before realizing that I should switch to her
language if it is to do her any good.  Does that mean I wasn't aware
which language I was reading? Yes.  Does that mean if someone were to
ask me: "What language are you reading?" my reply would be reply: "I
have no idea"?  Of course not.
