A First Class Condition is a simple condition.  It has EI + an indicative in any tense in the Protasis followed by a Protasis with the verb in any tense or mood.  It says nothing regarding the truth or falsity of the condition.  It draws a logical conclusion "If A … then B."  It is like a lawyer's hypothetical (Pardon me while I wash my mouth out with soap after using that word) in that the condition may or may not be true but if one assumes the condition then the result (apodosis) follows.

Subject: [B-Greek] Colossians 3:1

We read,

EI OUN SUNHGERQHTE TWi CRISTWi,...

I have seen the same explanation of this verse twice.? Both refer to EI plus the indicative as a first class condition.? What is a first class condition?

Is the sense of the verse, "Therefore, given that you have been raised in Christ..." which seems to be the implication of this first class condition?
