Mark, everything has its source in faith, I suppose for Paul, but
that is not in anyway a depreciation of spirit, in his mind. Spirit
is not surely disassociated from mental perception.
Paul sees spirit as conveyed in the Gospel intelligently listened to
and obeyed (Gal 3:2).
