Agency is the wrong category altogether.  You have an accusative direct 
object of the verb modified by two participles, PERIPATOUNTA, "walking," and 
GINOMENON, "being."  If these participles were turned into finite verbs of 
some sort, the *subject* would be IHSOUS.
