But nobody was equating grammar between a medieval and a koine text.
Stephen was quoting from a medieval source a comment that clearly showed
that that author understood the Koine text in a transitive sense. The
medieval text cited is a comment on Acts 8:11, not a grammatically

The point is that medieval greek texts are not Koine greek texts. To
equate the grammar of the two is to equate modern American English
grammar with Shakesperean grammar.
