I am receiving quite a few emails asking where things are at with fighting
the virus. The real answer is that I am playing around with possibilities.
Although I'm a computer scientist, I'm not a computer security expert, I'm
an XML query language expert, so I'm doing the best I can.
One possibility is that the spoofer is using the list server itself to send
these messages. I just took the simple step of changing my password on the
list server. As far as I can tell, my email address is being spoofed only
on the B-Greek list, and bypasses moderation. One way of doing this is to
do it directly through the list server. If anyone is receiving mail that
spoofs my address but is not posted to the B-Greek list, please let me know
